"Every person on earth wants to be a better arm-wrestler" ~ Clayton Faulconer
Hey there, it's a miracle that I am here to tell my story and I am so thankful that you chose to come here. I survived multiple traumatic accidents over my life and I made a pledge that I will not give up until I am a champion again. If you are interested in also becoming a champion arm wrestler, you are in the right place.
My story goes like this; although I had been in two major accidents, by 2018 life was good. I had been inducted into the BC Arm Wrestling Hall of Fame, won the Canadian National Championship nine times to date, and this after I had survived two major accidents. Now, when I say "major", those included a head-on collision (1997), and a severe collision with a manure spreader (2006) where I almost lost my right knee.
In 2018, my life changed and I was involved in a pedestrian vs. car accident — I was the pedestrian. In that accident, I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). I was bleeding in the brain, I had multiple broken bones and I was placed in an induced coma for 10 days; I was a mess!
I decided, however, that I would come back to again become a champion arm wrestler. And you know what? It happened in 2022 when I won the BC Provincial Championships in Kamloops, BC!
Additionally, I have spent many hours developing strength, and a strategy (basically all I have learned in arm wrestling over the last 30 years) to place second at the 2022 Canadian National Championships in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 2022, I was competing in a weight class that was two weight classes higher than I have ever competed in the past; a max of 198.4 lbs. — This was a mere 4 years after that life-changing event that should have ended it all for me!
Now, I have made this website to tell my story and teach everything I have learned over the past 30 years to those that want to also be a champion arm wrestler.
Results are everything. In 2021, my now teammate, Randy, recently placed 4th at the IFA World Championships in France. He accomplished this after training as a member of "Arm Wrestling Champions" for a little over a year! It should be noted that no other puller from Canada has ever placed in the top 5 at the World Championships in their first year of practice.... Randy is amazing, and you can be, too!

Let's Talk Safety!
How common are broken arms in arm wrestling?
In a study conducted with 123 young soldiers who had humerus shaft fractures in 2020, it was reported that arm wrestling was the cause of the fracture in 65 (52.8%) of the cases. I have personally heard of 4 humorous breaks in the last year. Always think about safety!
Unfortunately with any physical activity you do, there is a risk of injury. The same goes with arm wrestling. The most common and horrific injury I see is the spiral break of the humerus bone. Picture taking a classic Lollypop stick and grabbing both ends with your fingers, twist one end one way and then twist the other end the opposite way. That's essentially what's happening to the humorous bone in your arm as you arm wrestle. A spiral fracture occurs and to minimize this injury, you should train with experienced arm wrestlers and with certified referees that know and stop competitors when they get into a dangerous position.
A lot of inexperienced pullers tend to get into the “break arm” position as I described above, it's important to watch, learn and take it slow. I recommend finding a team close to you that will teach you the safe way to pull and ensure you always face your arm when arm wrestling. In a refereed match, the match will be stopped if you turn your head away from your arm and you do not face it when asked to. Always face your arm while pulling and do not look away from the arms.
