Could you imagine practicing hockey with two of the best players of all time: Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe? Well, this hockey scenario didn’t happen for me, but about seven years ago, I got to hang out with John Brzenk & Devon Larratt!
Vancouver Arm Wrestling Club’s Anthony Dall’Antonia called me and said that John Brzenk and Devon Larratt were both coming to his training facility. I am not sure to sure what Anthony did to make this happen, but he accomplished that and respect to him. I was there with bells on and was able to see and train with two of the best arm wrestlers ever.

Two of my all time greatest heroes - in the same place and time. To me this was an opportunity of a lifetime and this chance will probably never happen again. I didn’t realise this at the time but do now.
One of the amazing things I will never forget is during one of the visits from Devon to the Vancouver Arm wrestling club. Devon stayed at the table and arm wrestled one guy after another. He would let them pull as hard as they could to try and beat him. After 5 seconds of defending, Devon would pull his challenger to a winning position. He went through all 15 challengers one after another, 3 times before he was finally defeated. (45 arm wrestles over 1 ½ hrs).
Being able to train with two of the greatest arm wrestlers of all time was unbelievable, but seeing was believing as to why they are the best.
The fact that Devon is Canadian who is currently one of the best arm wrestlers in the world is a good thing, very cool and is one of the many reasons that I will forever have respect for Devon Larratt.
